For a first game of the year, it was alright. The Sens had some good things to take out of the 4-3 OT loss to Pittsburgh in the season opener in Stockholm, Sweden--notably one point in the standings. But it still left something to be desired.

... . Ottawa Vs. Pittsburgh did feature a faster pace by both teams but Pittsburgh could not seem to complete breakout passes on a consistent basis yesterday. In the third period, that really hurt them. It also does not help to have Dany Heatley firing down the middle of the ice wide open enough to blister a one timer. Here is the Sens take on the Saturday. Thank you Sensarmy as always. I felt Ottawa probably deserved all four points if not for that Spezza turnover they might have nabbed it but such is life. ...
