[Joey's Update: The deal may not be technically finalized until close to Opening Day, and the return Texas recoups could ultimately hinge on whether Littleton survives several perilous rounds of roster cuts next spring and breaks camp as part of Boston's active roster. In any event, Littleton will be immediately placed on the Red Sox' 40-man roster.]
