A compromise was made and Aardsma stood next to his dad as he threw out the first pitch. He pitched one inning in relief during the game and allowed two runs, probably because he was still so devastated that he couldn't play catch with Daddy.

Shawn Chacon shoved his general manager to the ground, now Manny Ramirez has shoved the traveling secretary, Jack McCormick, to the ground over a dispute about ticket allotments. ManRam wanted 16 tickets to Saturday’s game and McCormick warned he may not be able to accomodate the request, at which point Manny became agitated. (Providence Journal)
