After having been rained out last night, the Boston Red Sox and Milwaukee Brewers got back to the business of playing some beisbol today in Game 1 of a day-night doubleheader. Last night, the Boston Red Sox and Milwaukee Brewers combined for 7 errors. Today, they combined for 8 home runs but in the end it was the Red Sox who won the battle 11-7 to complete a sweep of the Brewers in front of 37,204 at Fenway Park. With the Rays losing to the Cardinals today, the Red Sox moved back into first place by themselves.
