Uhhhh, What?

In any language it's a win. I'll leave the topic of the undefeated Red Sox alone for now, and instead note that I finally understand why Jerry Remy is so exhausted. I tried to read the local coverage of the Sox game and almost lapsed into a seizure-induced coma. With romantic (and even germanic) languages, you can usually get a sense of what the words mean or are trying to express. But this has got me thoroughly confused. I see "MLB" in clear letters - fine, good enough. Now we also have characters where one looks like a chair, and another that ...

At least they didn't start the season tomorrow. The defending World Series Champion Boston Redsox defeated the Oakland A's 6-5 in 10 innings. Yes, it was also the first extra innings game for the season. ...

Red Sox DL Beckett

The Red Sox placed ace Josh Beckett on the DL today. Most projections have the Red Sox a few games better than the Yankees, and losing Beckett for a couple weeks shouldn't hurt that much; reports of the Red Sox demise seem far too premature, in my opinion. That said, if he's not going to be effective this season, it certainly opens the door for the Yankees to take the division and the loser of ...

Since John Henry and his group bought the Boston Red Sox and brought in Theo Epstein, the team has fielded a certain type of player. Patient at the plate. Help me rename Dog Mirabelli
My good friend Watson J. Dog is quite a Red Sox fan. The kitties could never be persuaded to root against the Tigers, and they prefer the NFL and its many cat teams (Bengals and Lions and Jaguars, oh my!).
