The Dallas News's Chuck Carlton says that Red Wings coach Mike Babcock once suggested to a certain Ken Holland that he would eventually coach the team, most likely when Babcock was coaching the AHL's Cincinnati Mighty Ducks. Babcock was true to his word, and that doesn't surprise Holland one bit: May 14, Dallas News : "He knows what he wants," Holland said Tuesday. "He's not guessing. It's not on-the-job training."
