Cincinnati Reds - Signed OF Rob Mackowiak to a minor-league contract. Mackowiak was thrown to the curb about 3 weeks ago after playing poorly in a limited role with the Nats. Most likely, he's with the Reds to provide depth for the Louisville Bats as they were thinly manned in the outfield. He's not a great candidate to see much time in Cincinnati with the Reds already carrying 4 LHB ... [link]
