In last night’s South Carolina-LSU matchup, the Tigers got a little extra help from one of the officials. Gamecock QB Stephen Garcia scrambled left with the endzone in his sights and came across one of the zebras. Instead of trying to avoid oft-drunk signal caller, the ref stepped ...

more or less tackled South Carolina quarterback Stephen Garcia during the game. I didn't think it was possible that something like could happen, but, well, ...

We give him a seven on the artistic
score, but an ugly five on technical merit. That
tackle was way too high, go for the legs man! Pretty self explanatory stuff here, but yet so bafflingly weird. For reasons unknown, an official in last night's ...

Referees Getting To Big For Their Britches
Brahsome - Care To Get Nice? —
What’s up with football referees trying to get nice on the players? Earlier this year we brought you the college ref popping Gamecock’s quarterback Stephen Garcia . Now an NFL Zebra has jacked up Rams RB Kenneth Darby. Maybe they are trying to relive their glory days, or lack thereof. I’m sure my man Leopold Stoch will chime in with his take. Check out this ref as the Gamecocks quarterback is ready to make the corner. That is a shoulder block if I have ever seen one.
FIVE POINTS: Looking Ahead
garnetandblackattack.com 1/18/2009 — I wanted to do an edition of 5 POINTS after the Iowa game. I really did. But every time I would try to map in my mind what to say, it all came out like a litany of the problems South Carolina had every time it lost in 2008.
