... , noting that it has been advertised for its ability to pierce 48 layers of Kevlar at 50 meters. Writes Freeman: “ Does it bother anyone that an NFL player allegedly owns a gun in which its main attraction to potential buyers is the fact that its ammunition can penetrate body armor? Body armor most times worn by police?” It’s probably safe to say that it bothers the NFL. The league’s official policy on guns for all employees, including players, states, “In some circumstances, such as for sport or protection, you may legally possess a firearm or other weapon. ...

Mike Freeman takes a look at the gun that was used in the crime that may or may not be related to Marvin Harrison. It's something called a Belgian Fabrique Nationale 5.7, and its bullets were "advertised as being able to penetrate 48 layers of Kevlar at 50

New opinions are surfacing about the Harrison case. Mike Freeman says Marvin is wrong just for owning the kind of gun he owns. Sal Paolantonio thinks Marvin is wrong for living where he lives. Both men are incredibly wrong. Let's be clear: If Marvin Harrison shot someone for any reason other than imminent self defense, he should go to prison. If Marvin Harrison gave his gun to someone to fire it for any reason other than imminent self defense, he should go to prison. But if ...

... But that doesn't mean we have to sit around and moan about not being able to write a column. Mike Freeman certainly provided an interesting take Monday. You might not agree with his stance on guns (especially folks in my state), but he didn't spend 750 words explaining why he couldn't have an opinion. ...
I Don’t Want to Hear Anyone Else Badmouthing Marvin Harrison’s Gun

... who are the kind of people who go into war zones without weapons because it wouldn’t be ethical — is that, without mincing words, they’re fucking pussies. This isn’t generally a problem when they write about what they know. But when lifelong pacifists try to tackle the subject of instruments of death, they sow fear and hysteria instead of educating themselves and fostering intelligent discussion.
Take, for example, Mike Freeman’s hatchet job at CBS Sportsline. Let’s do this FJM-style:
