The most ridiculous thing I have ever heard (well, maybe just short of the MLB giving the team from the league that won the all-star game home field advantage in the World Series)...

Anyways, the players that play in the Super Bowl aren't worth waiting for? Most of the Pro Bowlers will be in that game!

2010 Pro Bowl To Be Played Before Super Bowl
The National Football Post » Hot News and Rumors — 2010 Pro Bowl To Be Played Before Super Bowl From ESPN.com : MIAMI — The Pro Bowl will be played one week before the Super Bowl in 2010 and both games will be staged in Dolphin Stadium, a person directly involved in the decision told The Associated Press on Monday. The official spoke on condition of anonymity because the NFL has not announced the move. It’s not a new notion to have the game moved up to take place between the conference championship games and the Super Bowl. The NFL has discussed it multiple times in recent years, and commissioner Roger Goodell told the AP last ...

2010 Pro Bowl to be Played Before Super Bowl
Giants Football Blog — ... According to ESPN.com, the 2010 Pro Bowl will be played a week before the Super Bowl, instead of the Sunday after. It will be moved from Honolulu to Miami, the site of Super Bowl XLIV. ...

SAY ALOHA TO THE PRO BOWL AS WE KNOW IT
ProFootballTalk.com — The Associated Press reports that, in 2010, the NFL will stage the Pro Bowl at the site of the Super Bowl . Specifically, the 2010 game will be played in Miami, one week before the NFL’s championship game. Obviously, players from the Super Bowl participants would not participate in the Pro Bowl. The big loser, of course, is Hawaii, which has hosted pro football’s all-star game since 1980. The players likely won’t be thrilled about the development, either.  They’re losing their all-expenses-paid trip to Honolulu. And this could lead to trouble between the NFL and the union.  ...

REPORT -- Pro Bowl Says 'Aloha' to Hawaii in 2010
The Mile High Report — ... Hopefully Jay Cutler and Brandon Marshall enjoy their first trip to Hawaii and the Pro Bowl - it could be their last.  A source told the Associated Press that the NFL has moved the 2010 game to the site of the Super Bowl(Miami) and the game will be played the week before the Big Game ...

Report: '10 Pro Bowl to take place before Super Bowl.
Sports Media Watch — The NFL is set to make a major change to its All Star Game. The Associated Press reports that the Pro Bowl, typically the epilogue of the NFL season, will be moved to the week before the Super Bowl starting in 2010. Currently, the game takes place after the Super Bowl. According to the report, the 2010 Pro Bowl ...

ESPN.com Reporting 2010 NFL Pro Bowl to be Played Before Super Bowl
Music City Miracles — ... ESPN.com is reporting that next year's Pro Bowl will be played in the week between the Championship games and the Super Bowl and that it will be played Miami instead of Hawaii.  This makes the Pro Bowl even more irrelevant, in my opinion, because it means the players from the two teams playing in the Super Bowl would sit out.  They should really just vote for the players to give them the honor of being named and skip the game. ...

Pro Bowl To Be Played The Week Before The Super Bowl In 2010
FanIQ Blog — ... Now, Roger Goodell of course wants to change that. He wants the Pro Bowl to be more like the MLB All Star Game or the NBA All Star Game. That will never happen. But Goodell doesn't care. Why? Because there's money to be made, of course. So, here's what's happening. The NFL will move the 2010 Pro Bowl to the week before the Super Bowl. A stupid idea at first glance, a monstrously stupid idea upon more reflection. ...

Tuesday Notes: Lions Want to Talk with Josh McDaniels

2010 Super Bowl Moved to Week Before the Super Bowl
Fanster.com — ... In a move that should effect quite a few Arizona Cardinals next year (hehe, see how I tied that in), the NFL has decided to move the date and the location of the 2010 Pro Bowl. Instead of being in Hawaii the week after the big game, the PB will be in the 'dead week' between the conference championship games and the Super Bowl in the host city of Miami. It'll be the first time the PB hasn't been in Hawaii since 1980, although the move isn't a permanent one, yet. So far it's being billed as a one year 'test' to guage interest and as you'd expect, players who are playing in the ...

2010 Pro Bowl Returning to Real America
MOUTHPIECE Blog // A Chicago-Addled Sports Blog — ... Roger Goodell, in his infinite authoritarian wisdom, likely recognizes this about the Pro Bowl. He’s fixin’ to do something about it: In 2010, the Pro Bowl will be played before the Super Bowl in Miami. The Hawaii governor said she was “disappointed in the decision” but understood it was on a one-year “test basis.” The mayor of Honolulu seems less upset: ...

2009 NFL Pro Bowl
Niners Nation — ... I said after last week's Super Bowl that the season was complete, but of course we forgot about the Pro Bowl, likely the most irrelevant of the Big 4 All-Star games.  They're moving the 2010 Pro Bowl to Miami, the week before the Super Bowl.  On the one hand, this means that the two Super Bowl squads will not be participating in the game.  On the other hand, given how many players head to the site of Super Bowl anyways, maybe that means more participation.  Injuries will always factor in, but maybe location makes it easier. ...

Lesser Bowl Games Are Still Worthwhile

The Holiday Bowl Never Fails To Entertain
