Report: Celtics Expected to Sign Cassell Tonight

"The Boston Celtics are expected to sign Sam Cassell once the guard clears waivers at 6 p.m. ET on Monday, his agent David Falk told The Boston Globe. Cassell will likely be a backup to starting point guard Rajon Rondo but the 15-year veteran could see action during key late-game situations," according to a report on ESPN.com.
