Cubs Land Three All-Star Starters

According to CNNSI, the Cubs will have three all-star starters for the National League.
Two Cubs outfielders, Kosuke Fukudome and Alfonso Soriano, were voted in by the fans to play along with fan favorite and future hall-of-famer Ken Griffey Jr.
Catcher Geo Soto was also selected by the fans to start in the all-star game, making Soto the first rookie catcher to ever start an all-star game for the National League.
The last time the Cubs had 3 all-stars play in the midsummer classic was 2004 when Moises Alou, Sammy Sosa, and Carlos Zambrano all represented ...

... The early word also was that Cliff Lee (Cleveland) and Brandon Webb (Arizona) will be the game’s starting pitchers. Lee makes sense, though no one would really bitch much (we think) if Joe Saunders (Los Angeles Angels) or Justin Duescherer (Oakland) got the nod, since Lee’s only the comeback pitcher of the year. According to this All Star report from Sports Illustrated, the two starting pitchers in the All Star Game will be Cliff Lee and Brandon Webb. Now, don't misunderstand my intentions here: Lee and Webb are great pitchers who deserve their moment under the lights in Yankee Stadium. I endorsed their election to the team and will be glad to cheer for them next Tuesday night.
Still, are these really the two best pitchers in their respective leagues, or are they merely being rewarded for a super-hot start to the season? Let's take a look ...
