Report: Penguins offer Malkin to Kings for blockbuster package
Report: Penguins offer Malkin to Kings for blockbuster package
Perhaps the most stunning thing about what is the biggest hockey news of the morning is that it's not about teams seeking to acquire Evgeni Malkin from the Pittsburgh Penguins . It's about GM Ray Shero actively shopping the player some consider to be potentially the best in hockey. From Bruce Garrioch of Sun Media: The Penguins are trying to make a blockbuster move before tomorrow night's ...

It's Not Going to Happen
Battle of California — Greg Wyshynski of Yahoo!'s Puck Daddy blog passes along the rumor that the Pittsburgh Penguins offered the Kings Evgeni Malkin for the #2 pick and Mike Cammalleri. There's no way that happens, right? I mean, it's from Bruce Garrioch from the Ottawa Sun, who I guess is retarded, and plus where do the Penguins benefit from that trade? If the Kings were going to trade for Malkin, I would have thought have thought they would have to add a few more picks or Oscar Moller or something. And the Kings... well, the Kings would have Frolov-Malkin and Kopitar-Brown as their top 2 lines... ...

Did Shero Offer Geno to the Kings?
The Sidney Crosby Show — ... The part that has me puzzled, though, is that all this comes only days after Geno released a statement he'd be willing to give Shero a rather significant hometown discount (recall that he said he didn't need to exceed or even meet Sid's $8.7 million, 5 year deal). This is why I just find this particular rumor very difficult to believe. I'm not the only one wondering about that - Puck Daddy Greg Wyshynski is confused by the timing of this one, as well: ...

Malkin to Los Angeles?
FanHouse — Filed under: Los Angeles, Pittsburgh, General NHL, Penguins, Kings, NHL Rumors Over at Puck Daddy, Greg Wyshynski is pondering the hottest rumor in hockey: Bruce Garrioch's report that the Pittsburgh Penguins are actively shopping Evgeni Malkin for salary cap reasons and that the Los Angeles Kings are first in line: Malkin for [Mike] Cammalleri and what could be blue-chip defenseman Drew Doughty or Russian dynamo Nikita Filatov would be at best a steal for the Kings and, at worst, ...

Telegram, Telephone, Tell-a-PensFan
The Pensblog - A Pittsburgh Penguins Blog From Behind The Veil Of Cryptic Online Identities — ... Well, the Malkin trade talk disappeared a few days ago when Malkin himself came out and said he was gonna take a Crosby discount to stay with the Pens. But as the draft has gotten closer, the talks sprouted back up. The most popular link on the internet today is [ Puck Daddy's ] story on a potential Malkin trade to the Los Angeles Kings. The initial report came from Canada. It all revolves around the obvious urgency that everyone knows Ray Shero has to get at least one or two picks in the first three rounds of the draft. And Los Angeles ...

'Malkin to the Kings' strikes again with Tavares bit
Lighthouse Hockey — ... , you can imagine it's a whole lot more disingenuous than that. Either Malkin to the Kings is laying a veiled accusation that Tavares is lying when he publicly refuted the months-old allegations of Lindrosairres Disease, or Malkin to the Kings is not doing his homework, or he's just recycling rumors like any random hack. (Which option is 'all of the above?') ...
