With no opportunities in the NFL (or Canada), former Giants head coach Jim Fassel has found a new job in football via a new professional league. According to the Las Vegas Review-Journal , Fassel will coach the Las Vegas franchise of the UFL. UFL Commissioner Michael Huyghue would neither confirm nor deny the news, which is the same thing as confirming it. Huyghue said that the league soon will be making some announcements. Fassel Gets A Job From The Las Vegas Review-Journal : Former New York Giants coach Jim Fassel will be the coach of Las Vegas’ entry into the United Football League, a source confirmed on Tuesday. The UFL is an upstart league that is expected to begin play in the fall. The Las Vegas team will play at Sam Boyd Stadium. Fassel went 60-56-1 while coaching the Giants from 1997 to 2003.
