The special Independence Day match between the Eastern and Western Conference leaders turned out to be the match that produced the MLS Player of the Week.   Adam Cristman scored both of the Revs’ goals, giving the team their second consecutive POW award, after Steve Ralston was voted the honor for Week 14. After going half the season without anyone earning Player of the Week honors or anyone scoring more than a goal in a game, the Revs have done both in back to back weeks.
