Yet after Oregon’s relatively slow start this year when injuries sidetracked the team, there was plenty of grumbling that maybe a coaching change was necessary. Add to that the fact that Chip Kelly, Oregon’s offensive coordinator, was named coach-in-waiting in early December, and it leads you to believe that there could be a transition plan already in place for as soon as next season. As one report suggests, the best way to see if Bellotti will be around is to watch spring practice .
