... to the players involved. For the Phoenix Suns, Matt Barnes has been suspended for two games, Steve Nash suspended for one game and Shaquille O’Neal was fined $35,000. For the Houston Rockets, Rafer Alston was suspended two games and Tracy McGrady was fined $25,000. It all started during the end of the third quarter, when Barnes shouldered into Alston, and Alston came after him. Nash ran in to try to break up the brawl but was pushed to the ground by McGrady, and Shaq then shoved McGrady down to the ground as well. Nash is obviously pissed about being ...
Barnes, Nash pushed to bench by the league

... I’m still scratching my head about the suspensions and fines from Wednesday’s Suns-Rockets fight.
Matt Barnes and Skip to my Lou were suspended two games, Steve Nash one and Shaq and T-Mac were both slapped on the wrist with fines of $35,000 and $25,000, respectively, chump change for them.

Tracy is Such a Sweetheart, He Would NEVER Do Anything Like That!

... The verdict is in from the PHX-HOU catfight: Rafer and Barnes will be sitting out two games apiece, while Nash will rest his back for one. McGrady and Shaq were fined a paltry sum, and that's where things get a little fishy. Not the "OMG THE NBA IS FIXED!!!!!" kind of fishy. Nunathat. But how is it that McGrady got away with a slap on the wrist and a stern talking to when the rest of the crew will be sitting out games? ...
Phoenix Fans Feel Burned Again

... reminds me of his reaction after getting knocked down by Robert Horry. He charged that dude big-time, and either his smallness, his Canadianness, or victimness kept him from getting in any real trouble for that. In any case, if you're Stu Jackson, handing out punishments from the league office, human missiles aren't helping in your critical mission to prevent the big brawls that make America think the NBA is a bunch of young men rum amok. Watch it yourself. There are a zillion views, none of which make clear to me what ...
