Chicago Sun-Times film critic Roger Ebert gave two big thumbs-down to Jay Mariotti, who resigned Tuesday as a Sun-Times sports columnist, in an open letter on Thursday. Apparently, Mariotti's exit looked to be the feel-good move of the year, but Ebert was no fan of the scene Mariotti made at the very end, especially the dialogue about newspapers being dead.
