It starts out fawning at first, and then Ron starts dropping some beats until Kobe throws a beer in his face and then all hell breaks loose. Wait, I’m thinking of a different video. Look for Katie Couric to start rocking the backwards cap during her interview segments. It would certainly help her ratings, and her street cred.

Here's Artest's first interview for the Best Damn Sports Show Period with Kobe (via YBB).... Not bad.....not bad at all. I think I'd rather have Ron Artest out at the Conference Finals (a la Mike Bivens for TNT), and there's a little too much fawning at the end for my tastes, but good first interview. ... Ron Artest for The Best Damn Sports Show Period. I wasn’t sure what to make of this when first heard about it, but it doesn’t come off very badly at all. Both seem to be having a good time, although, part of me wishes Kobe would’ve thrown a plastic cup at Ron. Who knows what could’ve happened if he did? Another “Malice at the Palace” perhaps?

As of Tuesday evening, the Kings had not returned the call.
