With a slight frame and a jump shot that still needs some work, Utah Jazz rookie guard Eric Maynor isn't likely to strike fear into his NBA opponents just yet. But the first-round draft pick from Virginia Commonwealth is making progress. He had 14 points and five assists to help the Jazz beat the Portland Trail Blazers 99-96 in a preseason game Thursday night.
