More Kudos For Horford
Published 12/5/2007 at Hawks BasketBlog
Al Horford continues to get press for his excellent play to start the season, and winning Rookie of the Month honors will hopefully only be the start of it. A pretty cool feature on ESPN (it's on Insider, but appears to be a free preview) today about him, including video breakdown of how well he is playing the game only 17 games into his first year. ESPN's David Thorpe is doing a weekly feature breaking down the play of NBA rookies, and this week he's got Big Al at the top spot. We'll have more on this tomorrow, but I really think Horford will be in the ROY discussion all season, and if the team makes a playoff push, who knows?

He has a chance to be quite gifted as a scorer. Hmmm. I think Young is doing fine as a finisher around the basket. His problems right now are poor defense, being foul-prone, and turnovers. Typical rookie stuff. Thorpe is right about ...

Glen "A Little Less Big" Baby Davis
Published 12/11/2007 by Jim at Green Bandwagon: Front Page Posts
As the second round of the 2007 NBA Draft was winding down I had to comment on the Celtics' newest acquisitions. After absolutely killing the Gabe Pruitt pick, I wrote the following about Glen Davis: "Secretly I enjoyed this pick, partly because the C's did not draft McRoberts. Big Baby is large but does not solve the C's size issues at 6-9. And since Doc Rivers admits to not ...

Just Another Bucks Fan: Yi's Milkshake Brings All the Girls to the Yard

Here's a Yi commercial for a Chinese milk producer that might be the most confusing thing I've ever seen ( Deadspin , RealGM). That said, it also suggests Yi not only loves milk, but views it as a means of luring attractive girls into love triangles. ...
