Pitcher C.C. Sabathia hit a tape-measure home run and struck out 10, highlighting the Cleveland Indians' 7-2 win over the Los Angeles Dodgers in 11 innings Saturday. Jamey Carroll opened a six-run 11th with a single and capped the burst with a sacrifice fly. Sabathia enhanced his reputation on the mound and at the plate in the interleague game at Dodger Stadium.

Starters C.C. Sabathia and Chan Ho Park both pitched excellent games, but neither figured into the decision as the game hinged on the bullpens; uncharacteristically, the Dodgers' was worse than the Indians'. I understand leaving Cory Wade in for a second inning of work, but is Joe Torre the last remaining person on earth who believes Scott Proctor is a useful reliever anymore? Cleveland just smacked him silly; Proctor allowed both his inherited runners to score, which prompted a certain amount of introspection after the game: ...
