Saints garnering acclaim as preseason winds down
New Orleans Saints — As the Saints put the finishing touches on the 2008 preseason, analysts and pundits across the league are starting to take notice of the new look New Orleans Saints. ESPN’s Chris Mortensen and his cell phone seem to think the Saints have as good a chance as any team in the NFC to make the Super Bowl.  In an interview on ESPN radio last week, Mortensen claimed that the Saints and Cowboys are the teams to beat.  NFL.com seems to have a similar sentiment.  Four of their top league writers, including Vic Carucci, have the Black-and-Gold pegged for no less than 10 wins.  A link to NFL.com’s Saints season preview ...
