2009 was a big year in terms of assists in the National Lacrosse League. MVP Dan Dawson of the Boston Blazers and Josh Sanderson of the Calgary Roughnecks both broke the old record of 71 in posting 74 assists, while Colin Doyle of the Stealth finished with 73. Sanderson now stands third all-time.
