Adam Rubin of the Daily News reports (bottom in El Duque section) that the Mets have signed OF John Rodriguez. The 30 y/o left handed outfielder was a career minor leaguer until he finally made the majors with the Cardinals in 2005, in approx. 350 ABs over two seasons (2005-2006) Rodriguez hit .298. Can't say that I remember him but he did enough to make the Cardinals WS roster in 2006. He was back in the minors for 2007 and this year after being released by St. Louis he was pick-up by the Rays.
