Last night, Beckett’s pitching and the offense was the story of the game. Tonight, it was all about the pitching. Curt Schilling gave the Red Sox 5⅓ strong innings and the combination of Hideki Okajima and Jonathan Papelbon finished it off giving the Red Sox a 2-1 victory in Game 2 of the World Series. There’s only one October, but who thought that it was going to be like this? This is supposed to be a showcase of baseball’s finest, but with the emergence of the Red Sox it’s apparent that they are head-and-shoulders above the rest of the competition. Before this series reaches Game 2 or any further I’d like to take a stand and pick a side. I love the Boston Red Sox. Although I remain non-biased on how good they actually are.
