... marching powder doesn't count, so Molitor gets a pass.) It's one thing to have personal opinions which never see the light of day, but publishing these things about Gaetti and Puckett — without concrete evidence, i.e., more than the citation of statistical anomalies — is irresponsible, especially since Puckett can't rise to his own defense (unless he's hanging out with Ted Williams; in that case, he might be able to rise in about 50 years). - The guys at Saber-Scouting offer a scouting report of Rick Porcello : Mechanics - Sound mechanics. High 3/4 arm angle, clean and easy ...

- Jeff Sullivan likes Josh Hamilton and Zach Grienke. He actually raised an interesting question with a post about Hamilton -- is he the best positional player in the American League West? At first thought I'd be inclined to disagree and go with someone like Ichiro or Vlad. However I found myself agreeing with Sullivan, Hamilton's skillset and potential set him apart from the pack.

SaberScouting —
By Kiley McDaniel

There are still plenty of big-time players available after Inoa, and, as usual, it includes projectable arms and toolsy bats.
The top bat is up for debate, with some people in the camp of Rafael Rodriguez, a power-hitting outfielder from the Dominican, but the majority prefer Yorman Rodriguez (no relation) who is a tooled-up Venezuelan ...
Hot Prospect: Rick Porcello
Advanced Fantasy Baseball —
With Nate Robertson injured and Dontrelle Willis now on the disabled list with "performance anxiety" (sounds pretty bad) it appears that top prospect Rick Porcello has a very good chance to begin the season in the major leagues. While we all hate it when teams rush young players, Porcello appears to be ready. He has always had an advanced approach to pitching and is very good at conserving his energy and ...
