In a move that would have seemed unthinkable two years ago, the Seattle Seahawks have officially parted ways with running back Shaun Alexander. It was two years ago that Alexander received a big-money, long-term deal from the ‘Hawks after winning the league MVP award during a push for that contract. Injuries and ineffectiveness have marred his performances over the last two seasons. There were rumors of his impending release in late February, and the Seahawks refused to dignify those rumors (posted right here) with a comment.
