Red Sox Monster — ... came up aces for the Boston Red Sox yesterday, considering Daisuke Matsuzaka pitched a gem in an 8-0 win and Josh Beckett was given clearance to pitch again this season after a 15-day stint on the disabled list. Flying somewhat under the radar, however, was Sean Casey's placement on the disabled list for a neck injury. Not that he appears to have much of a problem with it, mind you. He spent 12 seasons in the big leagues with the Cleveland Indians, Cincinnati Reds, Detroit Tigers and the Red Sox. In his career, he hit .302 with 130 home runs and 735 RBIs.
