Shalane Flanagan took a bronze medal in the women’s 10,000 on Friday. It wasn’t expected and we’re posting it because of this comment: "That was the best women’s track race ever by an American," said Mary Wittenberg, CEO of the New York Road Runners. "It puts an exclamation point on how good Shalane is." Great story and a great effort.
