Shane Carwin vs. Cain Velasquez at UFC 104
Watch Kalib Run — ... FiveOuncesofPain.com is reporting that Shane Carwin and Cain Velasquez will fight at UFC 104. Both fighters are part of the UFC's 'big three' heavyweight prospects, Junior dos Santos being the third. Both fighters are also coming off wins. Cain Velasquez recently defeated Cheick Kongo at UFC 99 in Germany. Shane Carwin defeated Gabriel Gonzaga at UFC 96 in March. Due to the high profile surrounding both of these prospects many will assume that they will be fighting for the position of number one contender in the heavyweight division. ...

MMA fans will know that this is not the first time a fighter has jumped the gun on fight announcements. At UFC 77 Wanderlei Silva told media members he was fighting Chuck Liddell next. During the post-fight press conference White rebuked the statement. At UFC 79 Liddell and Silva ending up fighting.
