Sharks Stave Off Elimination, Win Game 4: Don’t Call It A Comeback!
The Sharks were able to avoid a sweep at the hands of the Stars on Wednesday evening with a 2-1 victory in Dallas. The series now shifts back to San Jose for game 5, and the Sharks are still swimming uphill for the foreseeable future. The one comfort that Sharks fans can take from this game (and yesterday!) is that the Captain, Patrick Marleau is not about to just give in and go home. Nabokov ...

The Calgary Flames and San Jose Sharks played an exciting series that went to Game 7 and resulted in a win for the Sharks. YAWN... Good Morning, DallasBarry Melrose Rocks
I'm sure you're heard about it by now, but if you didn't, the Stars and Sharks finally finished up Game Six of their series at 2:15 AM EST last night this morning. The game went four overtimes before Brendan Morrow finally put a puck past Sharks goalie Evgeni Nabokov to give Dallas a 2-1 win and a 4-2 win in the series overall . This playoff season, we've been pretty short on ...
Dallas Stars Win 4 Overtime Game 6, Take Series 4-2FanIQ Blog
It took three games and four overtime periods in game 6, but the Dallas Stars finally beat the San Jose Sharks. The series was by far the closest of the semifinal round as the Stars and the Sharks played 5, one-goal games and four games went to overtime.  Game 6 was the fifth longest overtime game in NHL history. Evgeni Nabokov and Marty Turco made some of the greatest saves ...

I knew the Stars wouldn't make it through a single playoff year without at least one ridiculous game that would make Jaromir Jagr lose 8 lbs. I'm writing this during the intermission after the Third OT and it might be a while until I could get much more up, so here's a few dopey observations to warm your hockey logs (good God look at what three OTs will do to my already horrid punnery). ...
Best Save Ever...For Real This TimeSports And The City
Evgeni Nabokov already made the save of the playoffs a few weeks ago. He was at his ridiculous-robbery-best again last night, and I think this one's even better, considering it was overtime and his team was facing elimination. Nabokov's a rude boy.
Wellie wellie well...Battle of California
The Sharks took Game 4 of the series tonight, on the heroics of Patrick Marleau , Joe Thornton , Milan Michalek and Evgeni Nabokov . For at least one game, these oft-maligned top guns shut some people up (Not me nor any of the growing members of the Fire Wilson brigade, mind you, but some people...). The Stars powerplay might want to be a little bit more careful when #12 is lurking about.  ...
Sharks haven't had an answer for Stars' top three linesNHL - Sports Rumors - Yahoo! Sports
And if a defenseman bouncing the puck off of a San Jose Shark to get past Evgeni Nabokov sounds a little lucky, well ... that's Stanley Cup playoff overtime hockey wrote Dallas Morning News columnist Tim Cowlishaw. The thing that was not surprising was that it was set up by a pass — even if intended for someone else - from center Mike Ribeiro , who leads the Stars in playoff scoring with ...
Are the Sharks Done?On the Forecheck
Look, I know Evgeni Nabokov has carried San Jose on his back all season, but this is getting ridiculous:

Hmm...sucks. On the bright side, Game 2 was not like Game 1. Unfortunately, that's because the Teal made more mistakes, and Dallas played much better. Despite a 2-1 lead going to the third thanks to goals by Joe Pavelski and Milan Michalek, the Stars decided to play three periods, while the Sharks were apparently content with just two. Evgeni Nabokov looked unfortunately human, stopping just ...
