... to shake Mike Holmgren's hand yesterday, he had a look of resigned hopelessness. Linehan desperately attempted to spark his team during practice last week, and I wondered whether or not it was a typical blow-up or the sign of a coach losing his team. Well ...At one point, Fox cameras captured Bulger rolling his eyes after Linehan lectured him on the sidelines. That's never good.Yeah, that's pretty telling. Rear-View Monday: Pats, Fish Chase History
Published 10/23/2007 at Goal-Line Stand
... Interestingly, Rams’ head coach Scott Linehan’s two most recent teams are the squads that can’t seem to buy a win in 2007. Linehan was Nick Saban’s offensive coordinator in Miami in 2005, before leaving to be the St. Louis head coach in 2006. For now, everything Linehan touches turns to rubble. At 0-7 and heading into a bye after their week 8 matchup with Cleveland, rumours have been swirling that Linehan’s job is in jeopardy. The notion that Linehan would be fired next Monday was squashed by team president John Shaw . And if Shaw was considering letting Linehan go, it’s good ...

Barely a day after I posted my thoughts about Scott Linehan’s job security, the denizens of the Internet are abuzz with rumors that he may be fired during the BYE week. Team president John Shaw shot that down Monday, repeating that any coaching decisions will be made once the season concludes. It’s unclear how firm Shaw is entrenched in this mindset, and his comments toward Linehan haven’t exactly bolstered confidence in him. Yet, as Brian Burwell pointed out, it makes little sense to fire an NFL coach in-season. Instead, why ...

Should Linehan Get the Boot?

... addressed it on this blog because I don t think it means anything. There have been a lot of rumors going around about the future of Scott Linehan . Will he get fired because the way the Rams have played? I don t see any reason why the Rams should let him go. The team is playing badly because of injuries and there is a small lack of talent. The main reason is the injuries. It s not the playcalling, and its not the way Linehan treats his players. It s the injuries. Today, Rams president John Shaw ...

Quick Hitters: Week 7 (Redskins v. Cardinals)

People are pointing to the wrong person when assigning blame for the offense. This is not an Al Saunders offense. Anyone who saw the offenses Saunders helped to create and run in places like San Diego, St. Louis, and Kansas City knows this is not an Al Saunders offense. Don’t Leave Home Without a Bottle of Win

Check this out. There is actually a laundry detergent for athletes called Win. The Rams could really use some of this stuff, as many people would think. I am starting to think of our chances of going 0-16. I’m not too sure the chances are all that good as we head into next week’s showdown with the Browns. Still, I wouldn’t be surprised if we are winless going into the bye week.
