It started when Howard Schultz, the former owner of the SuperSonics, decided to sue Clay Bennet, the current owner, to regain control over the franchise. Schultz claims that he was promised by Bennett that the franchise was not going to relocate if he sold it to him. The lawsuit is scheduled for trial in June 2009.
