Should the NBA consider neutral site games?
What if every team in the NBA played two games in non-NBA cities? It could be an opportunity for the NBA to increase its fan base in the U.S. as it has internationally.

Since it appears we will do anything not to play Boston in Boston, I'm all for it.

Can you blame us? We didn't have much success there last May. I say, if we play them in this year's playoffs, we petition to get all the games moved to Seattle.

I agree that neutral site games will expose additional fans to the teams, but if anyone watch the outdoor Suns-Nuggets game on Saturday you saw the drawback, lack of fan involvement.

There was no hometown crowd so nobody cared if a shot was good or a call was bad.  It definitely made the game a bit less interesting to watch.

Don't worry, pretty soon all NBA games will be played in Europe, to see if the expansion is then possible. Would love to see what they came up with next, putting a full basketball court on a cruise liner so that they can play in the middle of the ocean for the "All Star Game" between US and Euro teams?

Man o man, a week long cruise, the Comish would make the money and I want my percentage!

Ooh that would be very cool. Imagine playing shuffleboard with Ron Artest.

The Fundamentals
BallerBlogger.com — ... Dan Labbe of The Cleveland Plain Dealer:  “You could very easily take each team and give them two neutral site games every year. Why two? Everybody loses a home game. You could have the games in places where there is no NBA. Places like Pittsburgh, Columbus or Seattle. The only requirement of a city would be an NBA-sized arena or close to it. You could even get away with a 10,000-seat facility here and there. The point is that if you live in Pittsburgh, you could have the opportunity to watch LeBron James in a real NBA game that counts. Sure there would be people that ...
