... on the wrong side of one of the greatest college football games ever played. I thought they'd play angry, they'd play inspired, when in fact it was WVU doing all those things. It is in fact that naysayers that got to the Mountaineers during the long layover, talking about how they couldn't compete without their coach and architect of their offense, talking about how distractions would pave the way for an OU pounding. It was WVU that was doing the pounding Wednesday night, as they buried the Sooners with four touchdowns in seven plays. ...

Owen Schmitt = Beer truck

In West Virginia’s upset of Oklahoma in the Fiesta Bowl tonight, FB Owen Schmitt had a record setting 57 yard run, the longest in Fiesta Bowl history as well as the longest of his career. According to announcer Matt Vasgersian, Owen Schmitt resembled a “beer truck.” Thats a first, lol. Check it out.

WVU hiring Stewart after big Fiesta win

West Virginia interim coach Bill Stewart will be named the school's full-time head coach Thursday morning, multiple sources told ESPN.com. The school will hold a news conference at 11 a.m. ET Thursday at its Phoenix-area hotel to announce Stewart's hiring, just hours after he led the Mountaineers to a 48-28 Fiesta Bowl win over Oklahoma.
