Lighthouse Hockey — "Hip resurfacing" surgery just plain sounds painful. Apparently it is different from "microfracture" hip surgery -- which is what Mike Sillinger had one year ago to end his season and severely delay the start of this one. It's a surprise to no one following the team that Sillinger is officially done for the year. He was never right even when he finally came back, and his quick shelving afterward bade all kinds of bad signs -- ultimately resulting in this resurfacing surgery yesterday (Ouch.).
