At What Point Should the Suns Start Worrying?
Published 3/2/2008 by Tom Ziller at FanHouse
Filed under: 76ers, Suns, NBA Last Night, PhoenixThe loss to the Lakers, written off as tight defeat to a great team in Shaquille O'Neal's debut. The loss to the Hornets, still getting their breathing apparatus in order, no one in the league can stop Chris Paul anyhow. But explain away losing to the 26-33 76ers. At home. Bright Side of the Sun (harsh critics of the big trade) react. I'm past mad or sad or frustrated. I am Clippers fan. I now expect our team to lose when they take the court. I have ...
Time for the Suns to Play Underdog Ball

As I was watching the Suns play the 76ers last night, I found myself at one point a little bit jealous of 76er fans. Their team had come into the USAC with their "A" game in tow, faced down the giants, and worked so hard to earn a victory that it seemed like something in the cosmic fabric of decency would be offended if they came up short. Watching them play, you had the feeling they would be absolutely crushed (or at least good and mad) if they hadn't hung on to win--and positively elated if they did. I imagine that for 76er fans, this game was pure joy to watch, not just for the "W" in the boxscore, but also for the passion and exuberance on ...

... possessed next year, mark my words. I've seen the guy play pissed off. It's brutal. Aw, man, talented young guys! This sucks! Dwyane Wade. Great guy. Great competitor. Kind of a dumbass. The big thing here is Riley needs to do the right thing. Riley, if you're out there, SHUT. IT. DOWN. Tom's Mr. Super Happy Fun Times. Because, all the other teams in the NBA are boring, by the way. If you hate the Suns, this post's for you. I love conjecture. This one's really interesting. ...
Nuggets Run Past Suns (126-113)

turnover, noun the loss of possession of the ball to the opponents, through misplays or infractions of the rules1. a baked or deep-fried pastry with a sweet or savory filling in which half the dough is turned over the filling and the edges sealed to form a semicircle or triangle.1 the reason the Suns lost to the Denver Nuggets tonight. If the Suns had acquired Shaq at the beginning of the season, and played this game in mid-November, I probably wouldn't be too upset. This was one of those "growing pains" games, where there were some promising signs if you have the luxury of looking ...

Suns Stomp Sixers: 107 - 93

When the batter is on deck he takes some cuts with that heavy doughnut on his bat so that when he takes it off and steps into the box that bat feels like a twig. That's what playing the first quarter against the Sixers must feel like coming off that last half against the Celtic's defense. ...
