The shoulder issue has been called "no big deal" (Smoltz), it has been referred to as "just a little tightness" (Roger McDowell) and it has produced a slew of insane, crazy, please-God-let-this-not-be-bad laughter (me). Smoltz is, of course, tentatively scheduled to be Atlanta's ace this year, and any injury to him would slot *gulp* Tom Glavine at the two spot in the rotation.
