Friday November 6, 2009 3:53 PM By Neil Best Call it offseason filler if you must, but SNY's new "Mets Yearbook," debuting Thursday night after its "Hot Stove" show, is off-the-charts cool for sports and TV nostalgia buffs. The series features 27 season highlight films from 1962 through '88 ...

As trophies and t-shirts were being passed around
Wednesday night on five different channels, I flipped to
SNY out of curiosity. Would they be taking their New York sports mandate seriously and covering the grim doings at Yankee Stadium? Would they have something special on to cheer up the rest ...

I have been critical in the past of
the lousy non Mets game programming at SNY. Nothing
against Beer Money or Loudmouths, but it’s not going to attract serious sports fans to the network. The decision, however, to air an old Mets video yearbook is brilliant as the 1971 Mets debuted last night. ...

Looks like someone over at SNY reads the
Mets Police. SNY is adding a new show called
"Mets Yearbook" which will repackage the old rain delay films - and it's not the same old 69/73/86 stuff. It's years like 1971 and 1968 and 1963! Sounds very very cool. Good job fellas. ...

Well, I Can Take Pat Zachry Seriously
metspolice.com 14 days ago — I enjoyed this piece from Faith and Fear from a few weeks back (travel day for me today) which among other things asked, once you had Tom Seaver as your ace who can take Pat Zachry seriously? (He was really talking about Charlie's Angels) Well I can.
Once you accept Seaver is ...

Heroes of 69: Jerry Koosman. World Series Dominance
metsmerizedonline.com 24 days ago — Throughout our history, we’ve had our fair share of great pitchers. The names Seaver, Gooden and Santana quickly come to mind. However, if there was one game that your life depended on, if you needed a big win, Jerry Koosman should be listed first.
The best lefty in team history, Koosman ...
New York Mets - 2009 Debrief
passion4baseball.blogspot.com 14 days ago — The New York Mets and their fans have to be gnashing their teeth. All that occurred while the Mets had one of the highest payrolls, the highest of expectations and it all ...
An A-Plus For Mets Yearbook 1971!
metspolice.com 9 days ago — I absolutely loved Mets Yearbook 1971 and it is exactly what the team and SNY need to do more of (and less Chris Carlin filler). This was the old "channel 9 rain delay film" that I have mentioned off and on since I started the blog. How about the cap Kiner wore. It was blue with ...
A sweet & bittersweet 2007 Mets memory on SNY
metscitiblog.com 9 days ago — This afternoon I picked up the last couple innings of a game replay from May 29th, 2007. Any self-respecting Mets fan will remember the game. Joe Smith gives up a run in the top of the tenth on a close play at the plate. Armando Benitez promptly implodes in the bottom ...
