... triple to right field, his first three-base hit since 2002 and just his second in his seven seasons with the Yankees. That hit drove Feldman from the game and Frank Francisco came on to strand G-bombs by K-ing Posada. Giambi would prove to be the last baserunner the Yankees would have all game. I discovered at last night's Baseball Prospectus event that it's difficult to meet and great my readers when none of them know what I look like. Fortunately, Pete Abe was kind enough to post a photo of me over on his blog.

If you missed out on the NY City Pizza Feed, well, you really missed out. From meeting longtime readers for the first time, to hanging out with email buddies, seeing friends like Alex Belth and Diane Firstman, and talking baseball in one of the coolest baseball bars in the world, it was a night to remember. (I remember most of it, at least.) Peter's definitely right , but that Feed is the best night I've had in a while. Thanks to everyone who came; to Foley's; and to my colleagues, who let me turn the thing into a party. We should do this a lot more often and in a lot more ...

It seems unfathomable, but to recap: Alex Rodriguez, arguably the greatest hitter in baseball, and certainly the wealthiest, spends his late nights with a 49-year-old gap-toothed singer, and Peter Abraham, a Yankees beat writer (left) spent Monday at a bar with blogger Will Carroll, and one-time Playboy pin-up (NSFW) Jenn Sterger (the one with the jugs)? Only in New York, kids.
