Sonics minority owner Aubrey McClendon confirms what we all suspected from the start. In an interview with the Oklahoma City Journal Record , he says: We didn’t buy the team to keep it in Seattle; we hoped to come here. Now when teams move they usually keep the nickname they are known by (New Orleans Hornets, Los Angeles Lakers, Utah Jazz, Memphis Grizzlies) in the NBA even knowing how dumb the latter three sound. Are there any lakes in L.A.? Bears in Memphis?
