Decision to fire Jauron should come to pass
buffalonews.com — EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- It wasn't Ralph Wilson doing the laughing after this one. It was the Jets, many of whom were snickering into their lockers when they were asked about the decisive play in Sunday's astonishing 31-27 victory over the Bills. We Love Dick Jauron... for 3 more years
Buffalo Rumblings — ESPN is reporting that Dick Jauron signed his 3 year extension YESTERDAY. 1-7 over the last 8 games is exactly when I would sign my coach to an extension.  We as fans love when our coaches get extended during one of the worst stretches in franchise history.   I for one am really excited. I mean - who wanted "The Chin" anyways?  I personally like drafting in the Top 10 every year. Editor's Note, by Brian Galliford: Feel free to let your brain explode, but as always, keep profanity to a minimum.  ...

Seriously? SERIOUSLY? #^%#*&!
WNYMedia.net » BfloBlog — Unfathomable. Unreal. Unfuckingbelievable. Those are the only possible reactions to this. Despite going on a 1-7 slide that left the Buffalo Bills out of the playoffs, coach Dick Jauron signed an extension on Sunday, sources told ESPN. Emphasis obviously mine. Though no one could fault ESPN if it was theirs. Does this happen in any other city? If this isn’t a sign that Ralphie has completely lost it then I’m not sure what is. Imagine if he went 2-6, we might have Dick for 5 more years. 3-5? ...

Jauron Officially Extended
The Goose's Roost — From the Worldwide Leader: Updated: December 15, 2008, 1:32 AM ET Despite going on a 1-7 slide that left the Buffalo Bills out of the playoffs, coach Dick Jauron signed an extension on Sunday, sources told ESPN. The deal runs through the 2011 season. ESPN and the NFL Network reported on Oct. 26 that the coach had agreed to the deal. The Bills were 5-2 at that point and in contention in the AFC East. The Bills lost 31-27 to the New York Jets on Sunday, giving up the go-ahead score in the final two minutes. Jauron, 56-74 in nine ...

Enough is enough
BuffaLowDown | A Buffalo Bills Blog — ... Last week Ralph Wilson was laughing on the way to the bank to cash that check from Rodgers Communication, now in Buffalo. Dick Jauron is laughing all the way to the bank, with ESPN reporting that he has not only agreed to, but has signed an extension that will keep him here in Buffalo through the 2011 season. http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=3769872 ...

Football Today -- Pats' next opponents face a real identity crisis
Projo Pats Blog — ... of the AFC East (Rochester Democrat and Chronicle). WHAT YOU CALL IRONY: Given Buffalo's collapse, you would think that head coach Dick Jauron would be on the hot seat. Yet Jauron signed a contract extension just yesterday that runs through the 2011 season, according to ESPN. The deal apparently was reached a couple months ago, when the Bills were riding high. IS THEIR MOJO GONE? For the second week in a row, the Giants looked like a different team in their game against the Dallas Cowboys, and they certainly didn't look like the Super Bowl front-runner that we saw most ...

Melted Faces and Freezing Lakes
The Goose's Roost — ... Let’s face it, Dick Jauron should not have been coaching this team all year. His contract extension back in December ’08 will probably go down as one of the stupidest decisions in Buffalo sports history, and it was clear after the first game that this Bills team was no different than the last three incarnations we endured under Dick’s tenure. ...
