Red Sox Disable Mike Lowell
6-4-2 — an Angels/Dodgers double play blog — The Red Sox have disabled Mike Lowell for the balance of the postseason. I heard about this on Charley Steiner's XM radio show during his interview with Tony Masseroti of the Boston Globe; he characterized the injury as being equivalent to a torn shoulder labrum, affecting his ability to move laterally. The Globe has more on this. Lowell will be replaced by Gil Velazquez.
