... legion of talking heads made a good point-why the hell did NASCAR call the Daytona 500 due to rain, when it could have finished the race on a national holiday in front of a huge (and bored) TV audience. NASCAR is in pretty dire financial straits, so any sort of positive buzz and excitement would have been useful. Instead, we got a boring, confusing, rain shortened debacle that included a meltdown from the sports’ biggest star.
