Adelman in line for Sonics job?
Published 4/24/2007 by Ben Maller at Ben Maller's Sports Rumors & Notes
... Former Kings coach Rick Adelman, who appears to be a prime candidate in Seattle if Bob Hill is replaced, could be pretty uptight and intense, especially around playoff time. However, his Kings teams were pretty loose and relaxed, in part because of the players' individuality, but also because one of Adelman's strengths was preparing his teams.
Kings could grab Elie as coach?

... Because we have two weeks, Kings GM Geoff Petrie says, before the search begins, we'll scratch the surface of potential candidates. Mario Elie was interviewed last year but bypassed for Eric Musselman. Elie, who was an assistant under Mike Montgomery last season, is being paid by the Warriors this season to stay away -- his current job is as a, uhh, scout -- because of a shaky relationship with Don Nelson. Assistant coaches Alvin Gentry (Phoenix), Lionel Hollins (Memphis), Bill Cartwright (New Jersey), Tony Brown (Boston), Mike O'Koren and Phil Hubbard (Washington), Jim Cleamons and Brian Shaw (Lakers) and Darrell Walker (New Orleans) bring differing experience levels and personalities that could make them successful coaches here.

Assistant Coach Tony Brown doesn ' t make a lot of headlines. He talks to reporters after halftime, but doesn ' t say much beyond the coachspeak that all such interviews consist of. He doesn ' t get a ton of credit (or blame) on blogs, forums, or even mainstream media outlets. However, his name has popped up as a candidate for a few open head coaching positions. For example, his name was mentioned regarding the job in Sacramento ( quoting the SacBee ): Assistant coaches Alvin Gentry (Phoenix), Lionel Hollins (Memphis), Bill Cartwright (New Jersey), Tony Brown (Boston), Mike O ' Koren and Phil Hubbard (Washington), Jim Cleamons and Brian Shaw (Lakers) and Darrell Walker (New Orleans) bring differing experience levels and personalities that could make them successful coaches here. I also heard his name on ESPN Radio last night as one of the candidates for the newly vacant Indiana job (he played in Indy). In addition,
