Mets Hopes for NL East might be a Dead Endy
Published 29 days ago by Itsmetsforme (noreply@blogger.com) at It's Mets For Me: Off-Beat, Tangentially Relevant Mets Ruminations
This performance merits two exploding heads. Click both simultaneously to relive the 9th inning experience. The Hall Of Pathetic Met Performances has plenty of exhibits. Well dust off that shelf and make some room because last night's game is one for the museum. The BAD Mets resurfaced last night, and blithely turned certain victory, first place, and a W for their purported ace into Phillie-enabling defeat. Who's the goat? Reyes and his 10 cent head? Endy who had the gall to run himself lamely into outs at the plate not once but twice? The new third ...

Who shall lead the Mets?--NY Times

The person won't be found in the clubhouse as long as Fred Wilpon and his son Jeff own the team in my opinion. The tone is always set from the top. Add the other scattering influences of the modern day clubhouse, and voila, no leader. ...

Billy And Some Buzz

After the game Billy Wagner spoke with the press. Wagner literally laughed off the possibility of Shane Victorino “running him over” on the grounder that Delgado fielded and then flipped to Billy covering first in the ninth inning, the two crossed paths but did not collide. Wagner seemed to be in good spirits but said, “Of course you feel it” when he was asked about his left shoulder that caused him to miss Tuesday nights game. When asked if it feels better or worse than yesterday he said tomorrow will be the real test because right now the adrenaline is flowing so its tough to tell. Billy’s answers seemed a ...

Much Ado About Nothing

... To the Times' William Rhoden: where are you now? It's easy to jump on a team when they have a tough loss and throw out all kinds of ridiculous accusations when a team is down. I know you're a Yankee's fan, but you're supposed to have some objectivity. Instead, you just seemed determined to endlessly defend Willie Randolph and blame everyone else involved with the Mets for Willie's firing. Maybe the Times' sports editor should show some leadership and stop allowing you to indulge your biased obsession in this matter. ...
