MVNsoccer The numbers are in !66, 237 is the largest crowd for a regular-season MLS match at Giants Stadium (or any match between two MLS teams here). The Red Bulls had several matches with 50,000-65,000, and this is also their highest attendance home or away for a regular-season match. ---Today's LA Galaxy-NY Red Bulls match also set a new high for an MLS match that was not a part of a double-header, even beating the highest MLS Cup Final attendance (in 2002: 61,316). ---Last year, the Red Bulls played against FC Barcelona here with over 79,000, but that attendance does not count toward Red Bulls stats, since it was a friendly as part of Barcelona's U.S. Tour. ---Crowds of over 90,000 have been seen at the LA Coliseum for two Chivas USA regular season matches, the 2 all-time MLS highs.

Good points there...
The record for a match between two MLS teams at that stadium will be broken today (previously, several over 50,000, but none close to today's attendance).
A friendly between Red Bulls and Barcelona got over 79,000. That was a sold-out friendly last year.
