  Just saw a vid on ESPN.com about free agency and he is surprisingly palatable when he's not shouting.

  I just think that half the way he is trying to prove the point that he is right more than proving the point he is making. I have watched him when he is "part of the show" (aka ESPN's 1st and 10 on First Take) and he is ok. It is when he is doing an interview of sorts that I find him way over the top.

  Smith is knowledgable and has great inside information.

  Unfortunately, he thinks he's god's gift to ESPN and any other medium in which he gets to spew.

  Tone it down and maybe you can build a wider fan base.
