OrangeHoops had called down the thunder...and now he's got it. A couple months ago, OrangeRay started up a poll to decide the greatest basketball player in SU history. Dave Bing walked away with the crown with Derrick Coleman coming in 2nd and Carmelo coming in 3rd. Syracuse will be participating in the College Basketball Experience Classic next season. But they won't be the only team there (natch). They'll be joined by possible opponents Florida, Kansas and Washington. Formerly known as the Guardians Classic, the 16-team tournament will start out in four regional spots (likely the ones above plus Cuse) and end at Municipal Auditorium in Kansas City, Missouri

Landing right smack dab in the middle of ESPN's Ladder 119, a ranking of every college football team in the past ten seasons, is the Syracuse Orange. Thank God we can still include the McNabb Era in this...barely. With a 61-59 record and 3 conference titles (shared titles be damned!), it actually doesn't look all that bad. We're still ahead of Rutgers (#70). So we've got that going for us...
